Oranos has access to the greatest number of healing or regeneration options of the Atlantean major gods, with two healers (Caladria and Servant) and two myth technologies (Heroic Renewal and Mythic Rejuvenation), providing players with multiple ways of maintaining the health of their army. Oranos players benefit from worshipping both Oceanus and Hekate as they are the fastest healers. |

Strengths
Oranos provides versatile bonuses focused on mobility and situational awareness.
Sky Passages can send units instantly to any other Sky Passage on the map. This is extremely useful tactically and can be used in attack or defense. Players can send Oranos' extra-fast human units, especially Turmas, to harass enemy Villagers, or, alternatively, take their Citizens out of harm's way. Shockwave, Oranos' god power, can also be attacking or defensive, and can turn the tide of small battles by stunning a mining operation or raiding units in their tracks. In team battles, Oranos provides excellent support, as all Settlements are visible and Sky Passages are a good tool to defend allied settlements. On certain maps where locating Settlements quickly is crucial, such as Nomad or Vinlandsaga, this bonus provides Oranos players a significant advantage. Oranos has access to the greatest number of healing or regeneration options of the Atlantean major gods, with two healers (Caladria and Servant) and two myth technologies (Heroic Renewal and Mythic Rejuvenation), providing players with multiple ways of maintaining the health of their army. Their army and myth units benefits from worshipping Oceanus, Theia and Hekate, having their Murmillos and Katapeltes move 10% faster, Murmillo's hack damage is increased by 15% if Bite of the Shark is researched and Katapeltes move 25% faster and gain +15% hack damage, Contarius and Turma move 20% faster, and Contarius heroes' hack damage is increased by 30% if Poseidon's Secret and Lance of Stone are researched. Oranos players benefit from worshipping both Oceanus and Hekate as they are the fastest healers.
Weaknesses
In order to build Sky Passages in ideal location, Citizens must be sent to build them, most often away from the safety of a Town Center. This puts them at risk of being detected by enemies and as they are rather slow moving, they can be attacked before the passage is completed. Sky Passages also have a build limit so their placements should be decided carefully. Without access to Rheia in the Heroic Age, Oranos does not have access to a true building-killer type unit until the Mythic Age and must rely on Destroyers until then.
Mythology
"Oranos was the solid dome of the sky and one of the ancient element gods from which all life proceeded. He was the first son of Gaia and became her husband. Together they produced the 12 Titans and other offspring that included the Cyclops. Shocked by some of his hideous offspring, he attempted to hide them deep in the bowels of Gaia (Earth), causing her increasingly intense pain. To relieve her suffering, she encouraged her son Kronos to castrate Oranos. Following this emasculation, Oranos (the sky) separated from Gaia (the Earth) and Kronos took over the kingdom of the gods."
In-game compendium
Trivia
- Krios incorrectly calls Oranos a Titan, Oranos is actually a primordial god and the father of the Titans without being one himself.
