Mythology
"The charismatic Dionysus enthralled other divinities and worshippers alike, tempting them into revelry and carousing. As somewhat of a external addition to the Greek pantheon (having likely been incorporated from eastern cults that the Greeks encountered), he also represented liminality, being a bridge between the established and the new. However, participation in the activities that he condoned has also been rumored to have certain rejuvenating effects."
