The Scylla is essentially a naval version of the Hydra, and as such can gain up to five heads, which multiplies their attack. Heads can be gained by damaging enemy military units, whether warships or land soldiers close to the water. They are quite durable and are formidable naval units. Compounding this is that most civilizations lack naval heroes, making Scyllai more difficult to defeat. Hammer ships are a serviceable replacement however. Another effective counter to the Scylla includes the use of stronger myth units like the Mummy or Vermilion Bird. The latter two deal hack damage, the Scylla's weakest armor, and additionally deal triple damage versus myth units, allowing them to make short work of a Scylla. |
