The Dock is a building in Age of Mythology. It is where all naval units are built, and technologies which improve them are researched. It also acts as a food drop-off point for fishing ships and as a harbor, since they can garrison there at any time.
The Temple is one of the most important buildings in Age of Mythology. It is where mighty myth units can be unleashed, and also where some of their counters, the heroes are trained. Many myth technologies are researched at the Temple, including those which improve myth units. The Temple can be built from the Archaic Age, and is required to advance to the Classical Age.

Heroes can collect and garrison Relics in Temples for the player to obtain their benefits.
As with other buildings, Docks are built by workers and Norse infantry; additionally, Egyptian Fishing Ships can build them, albeit slowly. The Dock is available to all civilizations.

Since The Titans, when a player completes an Age advancement, naval myth units specific to the worshipped minor god appear at the Dock, if applicable. For example, Njord worshipers gain a Kraken.
Since The Titans, when Age advancement to the Classical, Heroic, or Mythic Ages is complete, myth unit(s) specific to the worshiped minor god appear at the Temple. For example, Sobek worshipers gain a Petsuchos and a Roc. Certain other units can appear at the Temple, as noted below, while naval myth units will appear at the Dock only if one is constructed.

Since The Titans, Docks have a ranged attack that activates when Fishing Ships are garrisoned inside. When garrisoned, they cannot attack land or airborne units, only naval units. Without any Armory upgrades, the damage scales from 9 (1 Fishing Ship garrisoned) to 16 (10 Fishing Ships garrisoned). It can only target enemy warships, Transport Ships and naval myth units.
