"Athena’s technology extends the range of Hoplite attacks, and enables them to inflict more damage."
In-game description
Sarissa is a Greek myth technology in that is available to worshipers of Athena and can be researched at the Military Academy or Armory. Once researched, it increases Hoplites attack and range.
