The Mythic Age is the fourth and final standard Age in Age of Mythology and second to last in The Titans. Originally it provided the strongest buildings, upgrades and units, but was superseded by the Titan Age and the Titan unit. To advance, one Fortress, Migdol Stronghold, Hill Fort, or Palace must be built. The player can then choose one of two minor gods to advance. The minor gods available depend on the civilization and major god. The god powers in the Mythic Age are often devastating to the enemy and can end games. Although the Mythic Age is the final Age that is reachable through having enough resources and the required buildings, in Retold, building a Wonder will take the player to the Wonder Age, which functions different from the other Ages.
